If you are concerned about your infant or toddler's development and aren't sure where to begin, contact your local early intervention office. Early intervention, a taxpayer-funded program, is available at no additional cost to families of qualifying children aged 0-3. If your child qualifies for early intervention services, you have the right to choose the agency you prefer. If our values align with yours, we would be delighted to be part of your team.

Who We Are

Infant/Toddler Early Intervention Services

We provide early intervention supports at no cost to you, empowering your family to help your infant or toddler develop in all areas and reach his or her full potential. We believe that you are the expert on your child and are in the best position to help your child grow; we embrace our roles as coaches, assisting you with our deep understanding and appreciation of early childhood development and specialized skill sets in various disciplines. We care deeply about young children and their families and look forward to helping you and your child with our team of early intervention specialists.

Our dedicated and compassionate therapists are highly skilled in their fields. Our early intervention specialists are not only experienced but also specifically trained to work with families and their infants and toddlers who have delays and disabilities. You can rely on our therapists to answer your questions about your child's development and help you build skills to enhance your child's routines. This maximizes development, learning, and participation, allowing you to feel successful and confident even when the therapist is not with you.

Our Services

Developmental Therapy

Special Instructors or Developmental Therapists have a broad understanding of all domains of development.  They help you to expand your child's play, enhance communication, and carry out strategies from other therapists.  They may be able to help with challenging behavior. 

Speech Therapy

Speech and Language Pathologists can expertly assist you in teaching your child to communicate his or her wants, needs, and ideas, and work on those first words, understanding language, and communicating in longer phrases over time. They may help with feeding challenges. 

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists help  young children to learn to use their hands to eat, play, and feed themselves.  They may help with sensory challenges and activities of daily living. 

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists focus on enhancing gross motor skills to support your child's development in strength, balance, and coordination and meeting exciting and important milestones like sitting, crawling, and walking. 

About Early Childhood Specialists

About the Owner, Lauren Todd

I have worked in early childood education since 2004, and dedicated my career to early intervention since 2009, working in a variety of capacities in 0-3 and preschool early intervention as a special instructor, classroom teacher for inclusive and self-contained classrooms, consultant, evaluator, behavior specialist, and more. Additionally, I have experience consulting in early intervention and in inclusion and autism in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Credentials

While a good interventionist is so much more than her credentials, it is natural to want to know these facts as well.

-Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit with a B.S. Ed. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education

-Graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University with a M.S.Ed. in Accomplished Teaching

-Completed post-baccalaureate certificates in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis

-PA certified teacher in early childhood, elementary, and special education (nursery school through 12th grade)

-PA Licensed Behavior Specialist (I completed the requirements for the BCBA exam and chose not to take it in 2017 when my priorities shifted to motherdhood)

-I have been a full time working mom, a stay at home mom, and something in between.
